Dr. Robert Taylor M.D., M.P.H.

Co-Founder & Chief Medical Officer

As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Taylor decides what Auvum will and will not put its name on. He sets the scientific standard for the company's work in stem cells, exosomes, and peptides, and leads its expansion into Bogotá — where speaking Spanish natively lets him build relationships with Latin American clinical and regulatory partners directly, without an intermediary.

Four decades of practice sit behind that judgment: Harvard Medical School, the Harvard School of Public Health, residencies at Cambridge Hospital and the Boston VA, staff years at Boston College Health Center and Boston Police headquarters, and before any of it, a B.A. from City College of New York and a First Lieutenant's commission in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

For more than thirty years he has also been known in the music world as Boston's "Rock Doc" — the physician road crews and headliners call at 2 a.m. He has cared for touring musicians, Grammy winners, and household-name performers across three decades of arena tours. He does not name them, and that is exactly why they call him. The other half of his life is public health: a research fellowship at the Harvard AIDS Institute led him to found the Health Awareness Connection, which he still directs, and which has run thousands of programs in the U.S. and taken him to nearly thirty countries across Africa, Asia, and South America.

Jaye Patel

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Jaye Patel runs the side of Auvum that has to hold up outside the lab — capital, partnerships, and where the company goes next. He leads investor relations, builds the clinic, research, and distribution relationships that make up the Auvum network, and drives expansion across the company's three anchor markets: the United States, India, and Colombia.

Before Auvum he spent years in business development for laboratories and clinics, concentrated on clinical training and regulatory compliance — the unglamorous half of regenerative medicine, and the half that decides whether a program survives. He works directly with governments and universities in all three markets to open new research and clinical pathways for evidence-based therapy.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University in 2003, and in March 2026 completed Harvard Medical School's certificate course Stem Cell Medicine: From Scientific Research to Patient Care. He is finishing a second HMS certificate, Stem Cell Medicine: Parkinson's Disease. He is a member of Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs and a partner at SelfHealth, a clinical diagnostics venture pushing for responsible regulation of regenerative therapies through standardized testing and structured follow-up.

Dr. Asif Khan Kundi M.B.B.S.

Chief Operating Officer, Clinical Division

As Chief Operating Officer of Auvum's Clinical Division, Dr. Kundi is the person responsible for whether a partner clinic actually meets the standard on paper. He runs clinical operations, quality assurance, and provider coordination across the whole network — the work that decides if a protocol survives contact with a real waiting room.

He trained at Khyber Medical University and comes from a family of physicians whose relatives own and operate medical universities in Pakistan, a background in medical institution-building that shows in how he scales things. Before Auvum he spent more than a decade across frontline practice and healthcare operations, including work as an Operations and Quality Assurance Analyst supporting U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs healthcare programs — reviewing complex medical documentation for accuracy and compliance and rebuilding provider workflows around it.

At Auvum he leads the company's work at the intersection of AI and clinical care, applying it to documentation, quality assurance, and operational workflow. He is also a committed educator: he co-founded USMLE100, mentoring international medical graduates through their exams and into residency, and he is a published author in Cureus Medical Journal. His clinical career spans teaching hospitals on two continents — Aria Jefferson and Roxborough Memorial in the U.S., Hayatabad Medical Complex and Ayub Teaching Institution in Pakistan.

Stephen Bookbinder MBA

Head of Business Development, USANew — 2026

As head of business development in the United States, Stephen Bookbinder is responsible for how Auvum grows here — the partnerships, the customer acquisition, and the capital strategy that turns a scientific platform into a working business.

He is also founder and managing partner of Kayak Kapital, a boutique investment banking and business development firm in Milford, Connecticut, that backs emerging companies whose work makes the world more efficient, fairer, and more encompassing — lately concentrated in technology and rejuvenative health. Over a thirty-year career he has worked for and contributed to the success of Bear Stearns, Bloomberg, Cantor Fitzgerald, and Dow Jones.

He has started businesses, led global sales teams, and built innovative offerings from scratch — an expertise in consultative sales, business strategy, and capital formation that firms regularly seek out. He holds an MBA from Baruch College. Born and raised in New York City, he has three grown children and spends what time he can outdoors, most of it on the water with a rod in hand.

Samuel Arrieta

Partner & Business Development, Colombia

Samuel Arrieta is Auvum's partner in Colombia, which in practice means he handles everything that has to clear before a clinic or research agreement can exist there — regulatory affairs, legal coordination, and business development across the market. Nothing moves in Colombia without going through him first.

He brings long-standing government and institutional relationships to that work, along with family and professional ties throughout Central America. That is the groundwork for Auvum's growth across the wider Latin American region: responsible, well-supported, and built on people who were already there.

Nicolas Ramirez

Head of Legal

Nicolas Ramirez heads Auvum's legal department. Every clinic, research, and distribution agreement the company signs crosses his desk first, in every market Auvum operates in and under whichever regulatory regime applies there. Corporate, regulatory, and partnership matters all sit with him.

In this field, the distance between a legitimate program and a liability is often a matter of paperwork and jurisdiction, which makes the role anything but administrative. His department's standard is simple: no agreement goes out unless it holds up to scrutiny in the country it was written for.

Scientific Advisory Board

Auvum's Scientific Advisory Board is not a single institution — it is drawn from several independent groups that work together, and its job is verification. The board reviews whether a product meets Auvum's standards before it goes anywhere near the network, confirms third-party testing rather than taking a supplier's word for it, and works with the clinical division on the protocols and SOPs that partner sites actually run.

Board membership spans multiple partner organisations and is not published as a single roster. Qualified partners can request the review record for a specific product under NDA.
